10 Simple Steps to Creating a Medical Marijuana Grow Room

Let’s just lay out some simple steps that you need to start with for your medical cannabis grow room.

1. Choose an out of the way location to grow your marijuana.
2. Enclose the room (tents are an easy way to do this) you will grow in.
3. Make the grow room as reflective as possible (not the floor though).  
4. Provide sufficient air circulation (i.e. oscillating tower fan) and one fresh air vent for your medical marijuana plants.
5. Ensure access to quality water for your plants.
6. Establish a flat, smooth floor for your grow room.
7. Have hooks strong enough to support 30lbs each available.
8. Be in possession of the correct tools: thermometer, pH meter, spray bottle, liquid soap, hygrometer, pruners, journal, measuring cups, moisture meter, light meter, yardstick, wire ties, screwdriver.
9. Of course, you will need your lights of choice.  Make sure you get ballasts with your lamps.
10. When you move your cannabis plants in, make sure your lights are the right distance.  400w needs to be 18″ from the seeds.  600w needs to be 24″ away from plants.  1000w lamps need to have a 30″ clearance from the top of the marijuana plants.  Use a sting to measure between the reflector and the top of your plants.  Use a thermometer hanging on a string at the top of the plants; you’ll kill two birds with one stone using this method.
